1984 Mustang GT 350 History Overview: The Ford Mustang was the greatest single automotive success of the 60’s. It raised Ford sales volume by well over half a million cars, and set an all-time record for first year sales of any new model. This remarkable accomplishment can be credited to Lee A. Iacocca, the engineer turned salesman, who worked his way from an obscure sales position to vice president/general manager of Ford Division in five years. Iacocca’s idea was a new personal car, a young person’s car, inexpensive to build, yet peppy and sporty-looking. This is an original un-restored car with only 6 miles showing on the odometer.
