Model Year History Overview:
Custom Street Rod – This car was originally a 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible Styling of the first Ford of the ‘40s was so good—so good that this car has become one of the most desirable single models made by any manufacturer. The hood was crisply pointed, meeting a handsome grille composed mainly of delicate horizontal bars, flowing smoothly back to a rakishly angled windshield. The headlamps, sealed-beams for the first time, were faired into neat fender nacelles. The fenders themselves were beautifully curved to complement the body contours and were often skirted at the rear for the ultimate streamlined appearance.
